Recipients and subrecipients are subject to federal and non-federal audits.[276] Records are subject to audits by state or territorial auditors, FEMA, the Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General and the Government Accountability Office.[277] FEMA may adjust activity assistance as the result of audit findings.
