If you need specific information about your case, please email us at askIA@fema.dhs.gov with these details so we can verify your identity.

  • Your full name
  • The address of the property damaged
  • Your current mailing address, if different
  • Your phone number
  • Just the last four digits of your Social Security number

Providing the last four digits of your Social Security number and other information is optional. However, if you choose not to provide this information, we cannot share specific case details or update your file by email. Instead, you will need to call the FEMA helpline at 1-800-621-3362.

Privacy Information

FEMA collects and uses personal information to help people who apply for disaster assistance. We do this under the authority of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act and the privacy rules listed in the Disaster Recovery Assistance Files notice.
