FRANKFORT, Ky. – Disaster Recovery Centers across Kentucky will reopen at 9 a.m. Wednesday following temporary closures due to severe weather and flooding over the past several days.

FEMA is actively coordinating with states across the mid-west and central U.S. affected by recent severe storms and flooding to support their locally-led response efforts. Residents and visitors should continue to listen to instructions from local officials, monitor local weather alerts and evacuate immediately if told to do so.

FEMA announced that federal disaster assistance has been made available to the Commonwealth of Kentucky to supplement response efforts in the areas affected by severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes and flooding beginning on April 2, 2025, and continuing.
