National Floodplain Administrator Training Needs Assessment Survey
FEMA manages the National Flood Insurance Program which includes more than 22,600 Participating Communities. This year, FEMA’s Floodplain Management Division is conducting a survey of the nation’s Floodplain Administrators who manage local floodplains for these jurisdictions. Survey findings will inform a five-year National Floodplain Administrators Training Strategy that will be coordinated by the Floodplain Management Division.

FEMA is actively seeking vendors for Group Site Maintenance and Maintenance/Repairs on FEMA-owned modular housing units being used as temporary housing for individuals and families displaced by the Maui wildfires.

FEMA Continues to Expand Housing Options for Survivors

HONOLULU – In addition to leasing units for eligible survivors through FEMA’s Direct Lease Program, FEMA is actively building a temporary group housing site on Maui at Kilohana. Given the speed and progress of residential debris removal in Lahaina, FEMA is now also beginning to work with interested private homeowners to place temporary housing units on their property while they rebuild their home.

Two Disaster Centers to Close June 29, Replaced by a Recovery Office

LAHAINA, Hawaiʻi – The Disaster Recovery Center at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa and the Community Resource Center at the Royal Lahaina Resort and Bungalows will cease operations at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 29, to make way for Maui County’s Office of Recovery.
