Delta County, Colorado Flood Map Open Houses
A series of three open houses will be held in Delta County to allow community members to learn more about the flood maps being developed for the area. Meetings will be held on June 11 in Delta, June 12 in Cedaredge and June 13 in Hotchkiss. The Delta and Hotchkiss meetings will have an English language meeting, followed by a Spanish language meeting.

FEMA Region 8 is working with the Colorado Water Conservation Board to update flood hazard information for communities in Delta County, Colorado. Updated flood risk information is now available for the towns of Cedaredge, Crawford, Hotchkiss, Orchard City, Paonia, city of Delta, and the unincorporated areas of Delta County. FEMA will be participating in a set of three English-language public meetings, and two Spanish-language open houses on Tuesday June 11, Wednesday June 12, and Thursday June 13 to discuss the revised preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps.
Congress has directed FEMA to produce flood insurance studies and maps through the National Flood Insurance Program. Congressional staff are invited to join residents, business owners, and community leaders to learn more about the updated flood risk and how it can be used to reduce future impacts.
In addition to FEMA, representatives from the community, state and other partners will be in attendance to help answer questions. The meeting will be held in person and virtually.
