Détails de l’évènement

The Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology (DHS S&T) Directorate and the FEMA Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) are hosting a quarterly webinar series on the new phase of emergency alerting.

Attendees will leave with an understanding of how a three-fold increase in IPAWS usage in 2020 better equipped first responders, emergency managers and alert originators with tools to protect the public.

The IPAWS Program Planning Toolkit will change the way our public safety community prepares for, responds to, manages, and recovers from emergencies. It's a first step for alerting authorities and emergency managers to set their teams up for success in the Alerts, Warnings, and Notifications (AWN) landscape.

The first in the three-part series of webinars introduced the IPAWS Program Planning Toolkit, and included emergency alert experts and emergency managers who piloted the Toolkit. The toolkit provides guidance on establishing a new AWN program or refining an existing one.

In this webinar series, you can hear from your emergency management peers on the ground who are responsible for pushing the button.
