DENVER – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has provided $14.3 million in additional funding for COVID-19 response efforts in Colorado. To date, FEMA has provided more than $401 million in Public Assistance funding for COVID-19 response in Colorado. The assistance was made available under a major disaster declaration issued March 28, 2020.

During the recent winter storms, many in the designated parishes in Louisiana have sustained damages to their homes and properties. Homeowners and renters who have insurance and are applying for FEMA disaster assistance must first file an insurance claim as soon as possible.

When applicants apply to FEMA they are asked if they are insured. This is then taken into consideration as their application is processed.

RALEIGH, N.C.The State of North Carolina and FEMA have approved $15,496,802 to help the Town of Holden Beach restore sand and vegetation on the Central Reach shoreline damaged by Hurricane Dorian in 2019.

Funds for the project cover restoration of 555,000 cubic yards of beach sand and stabilization of 80,000 square yards of dune vegetation. FEMA’s share for this project is $11,622,601 and the state’s share is $3,874,201.
