LOS ANGELES – Only a week remains for homeowners, renters and businesses impacted by the January wildfires in Los Angeles County to apply for federal disaster assistance. Monday, March 10, is the deadline to apply for both FEMA disaster assistance and a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) low-interest disaster loan.

For FEMA to process an insured survivor’s application, the survivor must provide a copy of their insurance settlement, insurance denial letter, or show proof of lack of insurance.
