SPRINGFIELD – Homeowners and renters with damage or loss caused by the July 13 – 16 flooding, tornadoes and severe storms in Illinois have until 11:59 p.m., December 13 to apply for FEMA assistance. Illinoisans in the seven designated counties including Cook, Fulton, Henry, St. Clair, Washington, Will and Winnebago are urged to apply as soon as possible.

SPRINGFIELD – FEMA has approved more than $126.8 million for homeowners and renters with July 13 - 16 storm damage to their home and personal property in Cook, Fulton, Henry, St. Clair, Washington, Will and Winnebago. Help is still available, so don’t delay! There’s one week left to apply for assistance from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) before the Friday, December 13 deadline.

SPRINGFIELD – Eligible homeowners who applied for FEMA assistance may receive additional funds for specific mitigation measures to help prevent loss in the future. For Illinoisans with damage from the July 13 – 16 severe storms, this assistance could include funds for roof repairs to withstand higher winds and help prevent water infiltration, elevating a water heater or furnace and elevating or moving an electrical panel to avoid future flood damage.
