Region 5 Acting Deputy Administrator
Mr. Kaehler has previously served as the Recovery Division Director. He has also served as the Region 5 Floodplain Management and Insurance Branch Chief and held roles in Public Assistance and Response. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Mr. Kaehler holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois.
