The community in New Orleans is facing the problem of frequent flooding, particularly affecting severe repetitive loss structures. The goal of this elevation project is to mitigate the impact of flooding by elevating seven structures with a total of 13 claims among them, providing increased protection against flooding.
In addition to elevation, site stabilization measures will be implemented to address subsidence issues and reduce stormwater runoff. If elevation is not feasible, mitigation reconstruction may be considered, ensuring compliance with the city's current code of ordinances.
