Recipients are responsible for obtaining annual audits in accordance with 2 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 200. The financial audit determines if the recipient’s financial documentation and processes are consistent with generally accepted accounting principles. These audits will help FEMA determine whether HMGP and HMGP Post Fire assistance is spent in accordance with program regulations and this PAS Pilot guidance.
For recipients with HMA awards, annual audits are required regardless of where the recipient is in the grant management process.
