With over 335 million people living and working in the United States, a major earthquake could cause unprecedented devastation. Knowing what to do before a big earthquake will determine how well you survive and recover.

ShakeOut is an annual earthquake preparedness drill held on the third Thursday of October. This year, the ShakeOut drill will take place on October 20th at 10:20 a.m. (local time). When an earthquake hits, you don’t know where you’ll be! It is important to ShakeOut wherever you are, whether that's at home, work, school, or through a video conference with people working or taking classes from home.
