Remote Home Inspections

If you are unable to live in your home because of disaster damage, FEMA will contact you to set up a remote home inspection or an exterior-only inspection. When inspectors call, you may be asked to identify yourselves by providing the last four digits of your FEMA registration number. The inspector will have the whole number. Remote Inspections

Beware of Fraud

There are many different forms of scams and fraud after a disaster. If you suspect fraud report it by calling the National Disaster Fraud Hotline at (866) 720-5721.

Understanding Your Determination Letter

You will receive a letter from FEMA by mail or email. It is important to read it carefully because it will include the amount of any assistance we may provide to you and information on the appropriate use of disaster assistance funds.
