While Rick Bayless was in his hometown of Oklahoma City on June 24, raising $40,000 for tornado relief with three pop-up restaurants, he found time to record two public service announcements.
In one recording, Bayless highlighted the good work of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.
“Rick has a lot of followers. Many people will see this PSA just because of his name,” said David Tester, the food bank’s video storyteller.
Bayless also recorded public service announcements for radio and video on severe weather preparedness for the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management and FEMA. “Keep enough non-perishable food and water to last 72 hours,” he said.
