On Feb. 22 and 24, representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will host two sessions of a Virtual Coastal Flood Map Open House for the Lake Michigan shoreline communities in Brown County, Wisconsin. The open house will give residents the chance to review preliminary versions of a recently completed Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report and its accompanying preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM).

PHILADELPHIA - Last week, with the adoption of a new, digital flood map in Lackawanna County, Pa., FEMA Region 3 will become the first in the country to have wall-to-wall coverage in digital maps – a big step forward in ensuring the safety of local communities from flooding.
