St. Petersburg, Florida: $433,434

Project Description

The city of St. Petersburg will elevate a severe repetitive loss single-family residence that has resulted in five loss claim submissions to the National Flood Insurance Program. This one-story structure was built in 1970 on a slab-on-grade foundation. It is located within the coastal AE flood zone with a Base Flood Elevation (BFE) of 9 feet and its lowest floor elevation is 3.8 feet. This requires the existing structure to be elevated at least 7.2 feet to meet the proposed minimum design flood elevation of 11 feet and will prevent floodwaters from reaching the living areas and provide protection against a 100-year storm event.
