3.6. Private Sector Engagement

The public sector alone cannot provide all the resources needed to respond to incidents; the government and private sector must collaborate and partner during incident response. Coordinating structures for the private sector include business emergency operations centers (BEOC), industry trade groups, information sharing and analysis centers, and entities such as healthcare coalitions that support collaboration and communications across the private sector. Such organizations can coordinate with and support NGOs and serve as a conduit to government coordinating structures.33
