Freeborn County Disaster Recovery Center Ending Operations

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – As Minnesota recovery efforts continue, the services offered by the State/FEMA Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Freeborn County will transition to Waseca County on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 6 p.m. The Waseca County center is located at:

  • Waseca Public Safety Center, 303 S. State St., Waseca, MN 56093.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and closed Sundays until further notice.

Representatives from FEMA, various state agencies and the U.S. Small Business Administration are at the center to answer your questions on disaster assistance or low-interest disaster loans.

Remember, Jan. 30 is the deadline to apply for FEMA assistance. So don’t delay. Call 800-621-3362 (voice 711 or video relay services) or 800-462-7585 for TTY users. Operators, including multilingual ones, are on duty from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Register online at DisasterAssistance.gov.

You can:

  • Provide a change of address, telephone or bank account numbers and new insurance information to avoid any processing delays;

  • Get facts about FEMA home inspections; and

  • Learn how to appeal a FEMA decision.
