How can I report disaster fraud?

If you suspect that your personal information has been used to file a fraudulent FEMA application without your knowledge or consent, we recommend taking the following steps:

  1. Report the Fraud: Contact FEMA's Investigations and Inspections Division to report the suspected fraud. You can do this by emailing StopFEMAFraud@fema.dhs.gov or calling 866-223-0814.
  2. Contact the Department of Justice: You can also report the fraud to the Department of Justice's National Center for Disaster Fraud by calling 866-720-5721 or filling out a complaint form.
