Since the federal disaster declaration for Hurricane Ian, Collier County residents have received more than $62.5 million in federal funds as of Oct. 24, 2022:

  • $33.1 million in FEMA grants to homeowners and renters.
  • $13.6 million in U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) low-interest disaster loans approved for homeowners, renters and businesses.
  • $15.8 million in claims paid to National Flood Insurance Program policyholders.

Individual Assistance in Collier County

11,305 homeowners and renters have been approved for $33,121,359 in federal grants through FEMA’s Individuals and Households Program.

This includes:

  • $22,694,582 in Housing Assistance grants for home repair, home replacement, and/or rental assistance.
  • $10,426,777 in Other Needs Assistance grants to replace essential household items and for other critical disaster-related expenses.
  • 2,536 homeowners and renters have been approved for rental assistance.
  • 6,734 home inspections issued; 6,425 completed.
  • Disaster Survivor Assistance (DSA) visited 3,565 households in Collier County.

U.S. Small Business Administration

SBA has approved $13,627,000 in low-interest disaster loans to 170 applicants in Collier County.

SBA is operating a Business Recovery Center at The Naples Players at Sugden Community Theatre,

701 5th Ave. South, Naples, FL 34102.

  • Hours are Monday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday – Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

National Flood Insurance Program

NFIP has paid $15,808,000 to policyholders who filed claims in Collier County.

Public Assistance

Collier County was approved for assistance for debris removal, emergency protective measures and permanent work.
