Crow Tribe members who had damage to a home, rental home, trailer or mobile home, or had damage to property caused by the August 6, 2024 severe storm and straight-line winds can apply to FEMA for help with repairs and other needs.
A Disaster Recovery Center is open at the community center at Dunmore. Members of the Crow Tribe affected by the severe storm and straight-line winds that happened on August 6, 2024 are eligible to apply for assistance. One application per household is accepted.
Recovery specialists from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration will be available to explain disaster assistance programs, help people submit the application for federal assistance, and get information on additional resources at the Disaster Recovery Center, located off I-90 at the Dunmore exit, #503.

Ongoing hours of operation: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mon.– Sat. (Closed Sundays and holidays). You can call the Disaster Recovery Center to check if it is open in case of inclement weather: 406-679-0022.
Applicants will be asked to provide information about where they live, contact information such as phone and email, Social Security number, a description of the damages that occurred, whether there was any insurance and how many people are in the household. They will also be asked to confirm tribal enrollment and to provide bank information so that any eligible financial assistance can be made through direct deposit.
Representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration will be available to provide information on low-interest disasters loan to help recover from storm damage. You do not have to accept a loan, but a low-interest disaster loan can help individual households and business of all sizes in their recovery.
