Event Details
The FEMA National Advisory Council met November 2-4, 2021. During this meeting, NAC subcommittees presented recommendations on the topics of equity, potential improvements to the public and individual assistance programs, workforce support, risk-informed decision making, and ideas of restructuring FEMA. Moreover, the NAC discussed and considered with selected experts and leadership how to best approach the consideration of issues of equity, climate adaptation, and readiness in 2022.
Goals
- The Council adopts 2021 recommendations.
- FEMA previews the upcoming FEMA 2022-2026 Strategic Plan.
- FEMA Administrator addresses her Council.
- Through presentations and panel discussions, the Council and FEMA deliberate on strategic objectives.
- NAC Subcommittees are aligned to the strategic plan goals.
