MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Hurricane Sally survivors in Baldwin, Escambia and Mobile counties have been approved for more than $11 million in federal disaster assistance in just over one week since President Trump signed a major disaster declaration for Alabama.

Through Sept. 28, FEMA has approved housing grants to individuals and families totaling $11,153,079.

AUSTIN, Texas – Approximately 6,690 Hurricane Harvey survivors have been notified that their Group Flood Insurance Policy (GFIP) will expire Oct. 24. These three-year policies end soon, so policyholders must plan now to switch to a standard flood insurance policy to ensure continuous flood insurance coverage.

To be eligible for FEMA's Individuals and Households Program (IHP) assistance, disaster survivors must be U.S. citizens, non­citizen nationals or qualified aliens.

FEMA will also be hosting Disaster Mobile Registration Intake Centers (MRIC) at the following dates and locations, WEATHER PERMITTING.

PANAMA CITY, Fla. FEMA has approved an additional $4,187,647 to reimburse Franklin County for repair of Alligator Drive after Hurricane Michael.

The funds will reimburse FDOT for replacing 1,160 feet of asphalt on the two-lane road and rebuilding the shoulder, both of which were damaged by a nine-foot storm surge during the storm. The road also was damaged by Hurricane Hermine in 2016.

FEMA previously approved nearly $2.5 million for Franklin County’s Hurricane Michael-related expenses, bringing the total to $6.6 million.
