Delta County’s flood insurance rate map update is nearing completion. The new maps will provide Delta County and Communities with more accurate flood risk information that can help local officials and residents make informed decisions about reducing flood risks and purchasing flood insurance.

FEMA’s Grant Programs Directorate (GPD) is offering a series of 30-minute training webinars on the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA), a part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). These virtual trainings will be facilitated by GPD’s Buy America Branch (BAB) and offered on various dates from January through April 2025. The trainings will cover a variety of topics related to BABAA, including roles and responsibilities, best practices, covered products, and waivers. The various training descriptions are below:

Last week the state-led, federally supported Community Vaccination Centers (CVCs) in Oakland and Los Angeles started giving second Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations. The Pfizer vaccine is given in a series of two shots, and the CVCs have completed dispensing the first shots. The second shots are now available at Drive-thru, Walk-thru and Mobile units. The numbers below tell the story of how the CVCs did over the past week.

Not all survivors of February’s storms are eligible for FEMA assistance. Others may be eligible for some aid, but for less than they need. Where can these survivors turn for help? Whom can they call?

Working both independently and in cooperation with FEMA, many state and federal cabinet departments and agencies offer scores of free services, programs and grants to Texas survivors of the severe winter weather. Many of these government entities that may be of help are listed here:
