Arkansans may be eligible for reimbursement for generators or chainsaws they bought or rented. Residents are asked to exercise caution as you clean up from the May 24 to 27 severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes and flooding.
FEMA’s disaster assistance offers benefits that provide flexible funding directly to survivors when needed the most. In addition, a simplified process and expanded eligibility allows Arkansans access to a wider range of assistance and funds for serious needs.
Arkansans who sustained damage from the recent severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, and flooding from May 24 to May 27, 2024, may be eligible for disaster assistance under FEMA’s Individuals and Households Program. Currently, residents living in Benton, Boone and Marion counties may be eligible for disaster assistance.
FEMA announced that federal disaster assistance is available to the state of Arkansas to supplement recovery efforts in the areas affected by severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes and flooding from May 24-27, 2024.
