SALT LAKE CITY – FEMA has provided the City of West Jordan $164,908.13 for repairs to a water storage tank.  The funds are provided from the agency’s Public Assistance program as part of the major disaster declaration issued in 2020 for the Magna earthquake.

SALT LAKE CITY – On Dec. 31, 2020 President Trump announced additional disaster assistance is available for Salt Lake County. The aid comes in the form FEMA Public Assistance funding to supplement state and local efforts to recover from the Magna Quake and aftershocks between March 18 and April 17, 2020.

Assistance covers eligible disaster-related debris removal, emergency protective measures, and the repair or rebuilding of public facilities such as roads, bridges, water control facilities, buildings, equipment, public utilities, parks and recreational facilities.

SALT LAKE CITY – Six months after the Magna Earthquake shook Salt Lake and Davis counties, federal agencies have provided more than $2.2 million in loans and grants to help Utahns recover from the March 18 disaster and its aftershocks.

FEMA has approved more than $664,000 through its Individuals & Households Program (IHP), the majority of which is going to housing assistance to help homeowners impacted by the quake make repairs or find a temporary place to live.
