NEW YORK – The COVID-19 pandemic has brought overwhelming and unforeseen grief to many families. To that end, FEMA is helping to ease some of the financial stress and burden caused by the virus. Under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, FEMA is providing financial assistance for COVID-19 related funeral expenses incurred after January 20, 2020.

WASHINGTON — FEMA announced that federal emergency aid has been made available for the state of New York to supplement states, tribes and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic beginning on January 20, 2020, and continuing.

The President's action makes federal funding available for Crisis Counseling for affected individuals in all areas of the state of New York.
