GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that employees or self-employed individuals who live in Rincón and became unemployed as a direct consequence of the Earthquakes that began in December 28, 2019 may be eligible to receive Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA).

Survivors that live in Rincón can file a claim until May 12, 2021. To be eligible for Disaster Unemployment Assistance, the applicant must:

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico— The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) extended the application deadline so that survivors in Rincón whose homes or businesses were affected by the 2020 earthquakes have an additional business day to apply for assistance.

Survivors now have until May 24, 2021 to apply for assistance in the following ways:

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico — One year after several earthquakes shook municipalities in central, southern and western Puerto Rico, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) approved nearly $313.5 million for emergency measures, rebuilding public facilities and to provide assistance to thousands of survivors.

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – FEMA recently obligated over $238 million to the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, or PREPA, for costs related to 28 peaking generator units that provide power to critical facilities until the Costa Sur units are back in service.
