GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – To date, FEMA has obligated nearly $89 million to repair and rebuild hospitals and health centers across the island. Over half of these funds are for permanent work for 258 facilities that will benefit the communities and residents they serve.

This is a record number of obligations during a single month since the onset of the disaster, which includes 458 permanent work projects for municipalities

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – FEMA and the Central Office for Recovery, Reconstruction and Resilience, or COR3, obligated roughly $95.4 million for 552 projects during April – more than the total number of projects approved between the months of January and September 2019 combined. Municipalities across the island received the bulk of these obligations for a total of 458 permanent work projects.

This represents the largest funding allocation in the history of the Center

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – Repairs to the Luis A. Ferré Performing Arts Center in San Juan, a symbol of Puerto Rican culture that has hosted over 15,000 events related to the performing arts throughout its 39-year history, will be possible with a FEMA grant of over $6.8 million awarded on April 24, 2020.

So far, April is the month with the largest number of project obligations with 428 grants approved

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – FEMA and the Central Office for Recovery, Reconstruction and Resilience, or COR3, have obligated nearly $11.5 million in funds for 84 projects related to the recovery and reconstruction of Puerto Rico due to Hurricane María. These funds were obligated between April 17 and April 23.

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – To date, FEMA has obligated over $365 million for permanent and emergency work on 182 projects to repair and upgrade potable water and sewer systems and other water control facilities across the island. More than half of these funds are for permanent work projects.
