Project Description

Pasco County aims to elevate a single-family residence within the coastal AE flood zone with a Base Flood Elevation (BFE) of eight feet to address flood risks. The project will elevate the structure on a stem wall with footers to achieve a design flood elevation of two feet above the BFE. The structure will be elevated by at least 6.7 feet to meet the proposed minimum design flood elevation of 10 feet.

The project includes building and site preparation, utility disconnection, and the construction of appropriate means of access to the elevated living spaces and aims to protect against a 100-year storm event.
