The Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will evaluate a Biennial Radiological Emergency Preparedness Exercise for communities around the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant. The exercise will occur during the week of September 10, 2024, to assess the ability of the State of Maryland to respond to an emergency at the nuclear facility.

The exercise will occur on June 11, 2024 to assess the ability of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and State of West Virginia to respond to an emergency at the nuclear facility.

FEMA is hosting several 60-minute webinar sessions to provide an overview of the draft document and facilitate discussion with participants to gather feedback on additional ways to improve the guide. FEMA seeks input, especially real-world experiences, that can be incorporated into the guide. Advance registration is required.
