La Agencia Federal para el Manejo de Emergencias (FEMA, por sus siglas en ingles) y Operation HOPE, una organización que provee información financiera gratuita y orientación a personas y negocios afectados por desastres y emergencias mayores, firmaron un acuerdo esta semana para continuar ayudando a las comunidades durante su proceso de recuperación. Esta alianza permitirá unas recuperaciones más efectivas y eficientes al amplificar la función de las organizaciones sin fines de lucro como colaboradores clave para ayudar a las personas a entender el valor de educarse sobre la recuperación financiera.

FEMA and Operation HOPE, an organization that provides free financial information and guidance to people and businesses that are affected by major disasters and emergencies, signed an agreement this week to continue assisting communities in their recoveries. This partnership will enable more effective and efficient recoveries by amplifying the role of nonprofits as key collaborators to help people understand the value in learning about financial recovery.

En 2023, la Agencia Federal para el Manejo de Emergencias (FEMA, por sus siglas en inglés) lideró compromisos importantes para el fortalecimiento de la preparación y la adaptación en la comunidad global de manejo de crisis. La administradora de FEMA, Deanne Criswell, terminó el año emblemático de cooperación internacional al ser la primera administradora de FEMA en asistir a la Conferencia sobre el Cambio Climático de la ONU (COP28).

In 2023, FEMA led crucial engagements to strengthen readiness and adaptation within the global crisis management community. FEMA’s landmark year of international cooperation was capped by FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell being the first FEMA Administrator to attend the U.N. Climate Change Conference (COP28).
