To be eligible for federal assistance, disaster survivors of the April 2 severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, landslides and mudslides must be U.S. citizens, non-citizen nationals or qualified non-citizens. Undocumented families with diverse immigration status only need one family member (including a minor child) who is a U.S. citizen, non-U.S. citizen national or qualified non-citizen, and has a Social Security number to apply.
