The National Exercise Program (NEP) is gearing up for its flagship event, the National Level Exercise (NLE) 2024, slated to take place on April 24, 2024 (ChST) at the RIHGA Royal Laguna Guam Resort. This exercise, organized by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), is a critical component of national preparedness efforts, bringing together stakeholders from all levels of government, the private sector, nongovernmental organizations, and community groups.

During Typhoon Mawar, wind speed in Guam reached approximately 140 mph, leaving behind a trail of damaged and destroyed homes. In response to the survivors’ needs for a safe, sanitary and secure home, FEMA initiated GUAM STRONG (Getting Urgent Assistance Mobilized to Support Typhoon Repairs ON Guam) to assist affected households by undertaking temporary emergency repairs to make homes habitable.

COVID Response: Personal Protective Equipment Arrives for Hawaii CNMI Guam and American Samoa
HILO, Hawaii (March 31, 2020) — A shipment of medical personal protective equipment (PPE) is received from the Strategic National Stockpile for distribution throughout Hawaii, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and American Samoa. FEMA works with the state of Hawaii, CNMI, Guam and American Samoa to distribute the equipment to medical personnel caring for coronavirus patients.

TAMUNING, Guam (April 17, 2020) — Guam Air National Guard Airmen from the 254th REDHORSE Squadron meet with personnel from Guam’s Department of Public Works and Power Authority to discuss logistics for a potential alternate care facility at the Guam Memorial Hospital in Tamuning. The Guam National Guard continues to work with federal and local agencies during the island’s fight against COVID-19.
