National Floodplain Administrator Training Needs Assessment Survey
FEMA manages the National Flood Insurance Program which includes more than 22,600 Participating Communities. This year, FEMA’s Floodplain Management Division is conducting a survey of the nation’s Floodplain Administrators who manage local floodplains for these jurisdictions. Survey findings will inform a five-year National Floodplain Administrators Training Strategy that will be coordinated by the Floodplain Management Division.

Purchasing Under FEMA Awards Training: Exigency or Emergency (E&E) Training
FEMA’s Grant Programs Directorate (GPD) is offering a series of one-hour trainings on the federal procurement under grants rules applicable to recipients and subrecipients purchasing under a FEMA grant award. These virtual trainings will be facilitated by GPD’s Procurement Disaster Assistance Team (PDAT).

May 10 Storms: Leon County Disaster Recovery Center Closes Monday

FEMA’s Disaster Recovery Center for survivors of the May 10 severe storms and tornadoes at the LeRoy Collins Leon County Library is permanently closing at 7 p.m. on August 19. This date marks the end of the application period for disaster assistance.

FEMA Assistance for Floridians

FEMA disaster assistance may provide funds to homeowners and renters in Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Manatee, Sarasota, Suwannee and Taylor counties for serious needs, basic home repair, rental of temporary housing and other uninsured expenses resulting from Hurricane Debby. FEMA assistance is not a replacement for insurance.
