Media Advisory - DRC Appeals Center in Jefferson Davis Closes/FEMA New Year Schedule

BATON ROUGE, La.– The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC)/Appeals Center in Jefferson Davis parish will permanently close on Dec. 30 at 5 p.m. It is at:

 

Jefferson Davis Fairgrounds

810 Lake Arthur Avenue

Jennings, LA 70546

 

All Louisiana DRC/Appeals Centers will close at 5 p.m. Dec. 31 for the New Year's holiday. The centers will reopen Jan. 4 at 8 a.m. These DRC/Appeals Centers are at:

Lake Charles, LA 70601

Lafayette, LA 70507

 

No appointments are necessary. Centers are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., closed Sundays.

 

Survivors don’t need to visit a center to apply or update their applications. To ask individual questions or submit information:

The FEMA Mitigation Outreach phone line is open on Dec. 31, it will be closed Jan. 1 and resume operation on Jan. 2 at 8 a.m. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (CT).
