FEMA implemented significant updates to disaster assistance to assist survivors in recovery. These updates will apply to the Presidentially declared disaster for the April 2 storms in Kentucky and include:

Renters and homeowners of Boyd, Carter, Fayette, Greenup, Henry, Jefferson, Jessamine, Mason, Oldham, Union, and Whitley Counties who were affected by the severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, landslides, and mudslides that occurred April 2, 2024, may apply for FEMA disaster assistance.

FEMA announced today that federal disaster assistance is available to the Commonwealth of Kentucky to supplement recovery efforts in the areas affected by severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, landslides and mudslides that occurred on April 2, 2024.
