A little over one month since President Joe Biden declared a major disaster for the state of Michigan following the Aug. 24-26, 2023, severe storms, tornadoes and flooding, more than $105.3 million in federal assistance has been provided by FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration to support disaster recovery.
Three Disaster Recovery Centers in Saranac, Detroit and Gibraltar are set to open at 8 a.m., Monday, March 18, 2024, at the following locations
Additional Disaster Recovery Centers are scheduled to open at 8 a.m., Monday, March 18, in Ionia, Wayne (Detroit) and Wayne (South East). Locations will be announced soon.
FEMA, in partnership with the state of Michigan, is hiring state residents in Grand Rapids, Lansing
and Detroit to assist with recovery from the Aug. 24-26, 2023, severe storms, tornadoes and flooding.
