In close coordination with the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, each county affected by Hurricane Ida, and FEMA, a decision was made to close the remaining Disaster Recovery Centers in Pennsylvania.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) hereby gives notice to the public of its intent to reimburse eligible applicants for eligible costs to repair and/or replace facilities damaged by Remnants of Hurricane Ida (FEMA-4618-DR-PA) occurring from August 31, 2021 to September 5, 2021. This notice applies to the Public Assistance (PA), Individual Assistance (IA), and Hazard Mitigation Grant (HMGP) programs implemented under the authority of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, 42 U.S.C. §§ 5121-5206.

The Commonwealth and FEMA have announced that all Disaster Recovery Centers will be closed for Veterans Day. Several will reopen following the holiday to continue helping residents with registration or to answer questions about their applications.

FEMA has approved a request from the Commonwealth to allow extra time for residents to register for assistance for damage caused by the Remnants of Hurricane Ida between Aug. 31 and Sept. 5.

Homeowners, renters and business owners who sustained uninsured or underinsured damage to their property from the Remnants of Hurricane Ida in Bedford, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Northampton, Philadelphia, and York counties have two weeks left to apply for disaster assistance.
