SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Individuals and households with losses due to the ongoing wildfires in Butte, Lake, Monterey, Napa, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, and Yolo counties, have four weeks to apply for assistance from FEMA. Oct. 21 is the deadline.

FEMA grants help eligible survivors pay for rent, home repair/replacement and many other serious disaster-related needs, including replacement or repair of vehicles, funeral expenses, medical or dental expenses and miscellaneous other costs. To be reimbursed by FEMA, survivors should save receipts and photograph damage.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A FEMA Mobile Registration Intake Center serving wildfire survivors in Butte County will open Sept. 22.

The center will be hosted at the Tractor Supply Company store, 2000 Feather River Blvd., Oroville CA 95965, across the street from the LAC (Local Assistance Center), and is part of ongoing response and recovery mission for FEMA and the State of California to support wildfire survivors affected by the August/September fire siege. It is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. It is closed Sundays.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A FEMA Mobile Registration Intake Center serving wildfire survivors in Sonoma County will operate 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday starting Sept. 21.

The center, which was previously open Sundays as well, is located at the Sonoma County Office of Education, 5340 Skylane Blvd. Santa Rosa CA 95403. .

The Mobile Registration Intake Center is part of ongoing response and recovery mission for FEMA and the State of California to support wildfire survivors affected by the August/September fire siege.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The major disaster declaration for California wildfires has been amended to provide more federal assistance to affected areas via the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Public Assistance Program.

Eligible applicants for this include state, county and local governments, federally recognized tribal governments, and some private non-profits such as educational and medical facilities. FEMA provides 75 percent of the cost of eligible projects.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Butte County has been added to California counties approved for assistance to individuals and households as part of the major disaster declaration approved Aug. 22 by President Trump.

The addition makes Butte County the ninth county to receive federal approval for individual assistance: Lake, Monterey, Napa, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma and Yolo counties were approved previously.
