Missouri: City of Webster Groves Acquisition of Two Properties Through Buyout Program

Two flood-damaged residential properties to be bought and demolished.

Webster Groves, Missouri: $520,857

This project will involve the acquisition and demolition of two substantially damaged, four-time repetitive loss claiming, single-family residential properties. Located in the Special Flood Hazard Area, a July 2022 flooding event damaged these houses.

Along with removing the structures, the project will return the lots to natural grade with seeding and straw that will provide immediate benefit by preventing future losses. The owners of the properties benefit by being able to secure properties outside of the high-risk flood areas and they will no longer have to live with the ongoing threat of flood events uprooting their lives.
