CHARLESTON, W.Va. – After a disaster, scam artists, identity thieves and other criminals often attempt to take advantage of disaster survivors. Scammers may target survivors when they are in a stressful state and are more susceptible to potential fraud.

The Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will evaluate a Biennial Radiological Emergency Preparedness Exercise at the Beaver Valley Power Station. The exercise will occur on June 11, 2024 to assess the ability of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and State of West Virginia to respond to an emergency at the nuclear facility.
