St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, Feb. 14, 2022 -- A Haugland Virgin Islands crew works on the installation of electrical tubes on King Street near the intersection of Prince Street in Cruz Bay. FEMA has approved $201,732,240 for the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (WAPA) to manage electrical distribution permanent repairs on St. John. WAPA plans to bury electrical lines from Cruz Bay to the Myrah Keating Smith Community Health Center in Susannaberg.
