Hoy, el Departamento de Seguridad Nacional (DHS, por sus siglas en inglés), la directora Jen Easterly de la Agencia de Seguridad Cibernética y de Infraestructura (CISA, por sus siglas en inglés) y la Agencia Federal para el Manejo de Emergencias (FEMA, por sus siglas en inglés) lanzaron la nueva campaña “Shields Ready” (enlace en inglés) para alentar a la comunidad de infraestructura crítica a dedicarse a fortalecer su resiliencia. La resiliencia es la capacidad de prepararse, adaptarse, resistir y recuperarse rápidamente de las dificultades causadas por condiciones cambiantes.

Today, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and FEMA launched the new “Shields Ready” campaign to encourage the critical infrastructure community to focus on strengthening resilience. Resilience is the ability to prepare for, adapt to, withstand and rapidly recover from disruptions caused by changing conditions. The new campaign was unveiled during a joint press conference at the Port of Long Beach, alongside speakers from the Long Beach, California, community and members of the U.S. Coast Guard.

The city of South Bismarck will carry out flood risk reduction measures that will provide FEMA-accredited flood protection and allow properties to be removed from the 100-year regulatory floodplain.
