Katherine Ebersole serves as Acting Deputy CIO for Information Technology Operations. Ms. Ebersole has 36 years of experience within DoD and DHS components, supporting various programs. Ms. Ebersole joined FEMA in November of 2021 to serve as the Director of IT Operations. Prior to joining FEMA she served as the Deputy, Unified Capabilities for the entire Coast Guard as the voting member for the Coast Guard, Cloud Strategies, IT Modernizations, and Capability Maturity Model. In addition, Ms. Ebersole worked in multiple DoD components supporting geospatial and space missions, serving as the Chief, Mission Enclave Support for the Joint Improvised Threat Defeat Organization (JIDO) where she led the acquisition and implementation of advanced infrastructure technologies and modernization of JIDO's IT capabilities.
