Although the deadline to apply for FEMA assistance after the winter storms and flooding has passed, we are still available to help applicants.

The state of Rhode Island and FEMA have opened a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Lincoln in Providence County to help Rhode Island residents affected by the severe storms and flooding that took place from December 17-19, 2023, and January 9-13, 2024.

Rhode Islanders who live in Kent, Providence and Washington counties and had a privately owned road or bridge damaged or destroyed by the severe storms and flooding that took place Dec. 17-19, 2023, and/or January 9-13, 2024, FEMA or the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) may provide financial assistance for replacement or repairs.

There are four ways to apply for FEMA assistance.

At the center, survivors will be able to apply for FEMA assistance, upload documents and get answers to questions in person.
