APPROVES MAJOR DISASTER DECLARATION FOR ARKANSAS [https://www.fema.gov/press-release/20231114/president-joseph-r-biden-jr-approves-major-disaster-declaration-arkansas] Release Date: Tháng 11 14, 2023 WASHINGTON -- FEMA announced that federal disaster assistance has been made available to the state of Arkansas to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by severe storms, straight-line winds and tornadoes from June 25-26, 2023. The President’s action makes federal funding available to state, tribal and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the severe storms, straight-line winds and tornadoes in the counties of Arkansas, Faulkner, Lonoke and Poinsett. Federal funding is also available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures statewide. Roland W. Jackson has been named Federal Coordinating Officer for federal recovery operations in the affected areas.   Additional designations may be made at a later date if requested by the state and warranted by the results of further damage assessments.
