Community Recovery Centers in Puerto Rico Closed Temporarily

Release Date:
Tháng 8 28, 2019

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – All Community Recovery Centers will remain closed on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019 due to forecast inclement weather related to Tropical Storm Dorian.

Recovery centers will resume their regular hours once post-storm assessments are complete.

The centers serve all community members and visitors do not have to be registered with FEMA to access these services. Representatives from local and volunteer agencies are available at centers across the island to provide assistance with housing repairs, rental resources, FEMA case review, emotional and spiritual wellness services and legal services.

Recovery officials encourage Irma and María survivors who registered for disaster assistance with FEMA to stay in touch. If survivors change addresses or phone numbers, they should contact FEMA to update their information. Missing or incorrect information could result in delays in receiving assistance.

FEMA’s helpline will remain open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Disaster survivors whose homes were affected by hurricanes Irma and María can get updates on their applications, learn about the appeals process or check the status of their claims by calling 800-621-FEMA (3362). For Spanish press 2. People who use a TDD may call 800-462-7585.
