APPLYING FOR FEMA ASSISTANCE IF YOUR HOME IS A BOAT [https://www.fema.gov/fact-sheet/applying-fema-assistance-if-your-home-boat-0] Release Date: Aug 22, 2024 If a boat was your primary residence before and during Hurricane Debby in Florida and the boat sustained hurricane damage, FEMA may be able to help. You may be eligible for financial assistance for displacement, serious needs, temporary lodging, personal property losses and other uninsured disaster-related expenses. If the boat was not located on private property, you will need to provide the physical and complete address of the marina, dock and slip or mooring number. The slip or mooring number is necessary so that your application is separate from other potential boat applications at the same address. You cannot use a P.O. Box as your primary address, but you can use it as a mailing address.  How to Apply Go online to DisasterAssistance.gov [https://www.disasterassistance.gov/], use the FEMA App [https://www.fema.gov/about/news-multimedia/mobile-products], visit a Disaster Recovery Center [https://egateway.fema.gov/ESF6/DRCLocator] or call 800-621-3362 any day. Multilingual operators are available. If you use a relay service, captioned telephone or other service, give FEMA your number for that service.
